HCOMP Code of Conduct

The organizers of HCOMP and the HCOMP council aim to make HCOMP a welcoming and safe environment for all attendees, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or age.

HCOMP does not tolerate harassment of any of its participants.

This includes:
Unwanted sexual advances
Inappropriate physical contact
Verbal abuse
Discriminatory or offensive references on slides or in presentation materials

Conference participants (including attendees and sponsors) who violate the terms of this policy may be excluded from submitting to or attending HCOMP meetings.

This code applies to all workshops, conference sessions, banquets, and other conference-related social events such as outside meals or social gatherings, as well as social media interactions.

Anyone who has been the victim or witnessed unacceptable behavior described above is encouraged to contact the HCOMP council, AAAI staff, or the HCOMP conference chairs by email or anonymously. The victim’s confidentiality will be maintained. Anonymous support and resources within the US may be found at https://www.rainn.org/ and 24-hour anonymous support may reached within Quebec at 1-888-933-9007.
